The following people, books, links, and resources went in to establishing the Cole Genealogy found on this site (links will open in new windows). Thanks and appreciation goes to:

Visit my newfound 5th cousin (once removed) Kathy Bisbee's website at www.unbrokenchain.com/roots/. She knows all about the Reddings (as far back as we can trace, anyway)!
Just before Christmas 2001 I was contacted by Cynthia Cole, my long-lost 2nd-cousin from California! Her grandfather Aubrey was my grandfather's brother. It was wonderful to reconnect with one of the only recent lines of our Maine Coles to have traveled west.
In the fall of 2001 I was contacted by Barbara Honkala, another fifth-cousin related to Eleazer Cole. Her family (and now cousins) puts the flag on Eleazer's grave every year on Memorial Day. It was great to hear from her, and to trade family information.
The World Family Tree project of Broderbund Software and John McCormick.
Maine Families, Bk. 3, by Harold C. Perham discusses the Canwells, the Murches, and the Faunces, among other families. This is also the mysterious "Cole book" that contains the list of Cole ancestors that first got me interested in genealogy. A copy resides in the Maine State Library in Augusta.

This is Janet H. (Rouse) Derbyshire's Perham line. She provides an excellent resource for people searching for Perham info, and helped me correct some misinformation. Thanks, Janet!
Pam Thompson from California is updating the E.B. Cole Genealogy! I have provided information for my line starting with Laurenson Cole. Can't wait to see your work, Pam!
