Andrews Photographs

The Andrewses are a tough crowd to document. They lived in Franklin Plantation, Maine in the 19th century, a place which was annexed partially to Sumner and partially to Peru. This has made people tricky to track down.

As of August 2001 I have located tombstones for my Andrews relations back to Peres Andrews, who is buried in a small cemetery in the Redding section of Sumner. At this time I have been unable to identify who his parents are. If any of you have any clues, please pass them my way! In the meantime, enjoy the photographs.

It has been supposed that Salomon, Almon, and Philena Andrews are siblings of Peres Andrews. I don't have positive proof of this, but I have tracked down many other Andrews tombstones in the Sumner-Peru-Franklin Plantation area, pictures of which can be found below:
