The Carr Family Bible no longer exist. A few pages on which Henrietta Margaret Huffman Carr ("Etta") made entries recording the dates of births, deaths and marriages of family members is all that survives of the Bible. Actually, Etta recorded the entries on the reverse side of Biblical map pages in the Bible. As you view photographic copies of these Bible pages you will note that the background for each page is the front side or the map pages side; the reverse side of these pages contain Etta's entries.

Etta herself saved the pages after her Bible deteriorated beyond salvation. You may also note that some entries are duplicated, these entries having been made at various and different times during her life-time. The pages are presetnly in the possession of her grandson, Everette Houston Carr. Jr.
